Joshua Andre Jones is an experienced Project manager/Sales Channel Analyst at AmeriHealth Caritas. He holds an Undergrad degree in Exercise Science and a Master’s in Health Informatics from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. With these degrees he has been able to understand the ins and outs of managing projects, coordinating with stakeholders, and understanding what it takes to run healthcare programs as well as health practices. Recently he has also gained his certification in CAPM from the Project Management Institute and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from Villanova to gain better knowledge on how to implement and create sustainable programs from the top down.  He is currently on track to gain the PMP from the Project Management Institute as well.

Prior to working at Amerihealth Caritas, Joshua worked in the healthcare and fitness field. Some of the roles included working as an analyst and process coordinator for the Health Information Management department at Barnes Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, MO. He also has worked in the physical therapy field and personal training field at SSM and the YMCA. While in this field, he was able to find his love for helping people live a healthy active lifestyle. 

Joshua believes that using his prior experiences and training he can make a difference in the community. Being in the position to help implement programs within the health insurance field was important to him because he could make sure that underrepresented communities had a voice and were heard. While being on the Board for BUG, he hopes to do the same with the Houston community and create different programs that align with the organization's goals.
